"Police need to have more power to protect the citizens than the average citizen," said Ozzie Gonzales
maybe Larue can make Ozzie a batsignal

Most people they interviewed thought your actions were wrong? Who the fuck are they interviewing? Everyone I talked to thought it was great and others should do the same. Keep it up!

"I think it's the most ridiculous thing I ever heard," said Dotty Zoller. "They're not in the business to direct politics; they're in the business to sell guns."
The sooner people accept that it's everybody's job to direct politics, the better off we'll be. Most of our problems today stem from people thinking that politics is somebody else's problem. |

I just posted this LOL
Just look at the LAPD shooting innocent civilians that don't even look like Dorner, so far they have been 3 incidents, thank God they did not have LaRue rifles or those poor people would be dead. |

"I know there are probably some political reasons for that, but when it comes down to it, law enforcement is not part of the political process and we just hope this is not a trend," said Wayne Vincent, President of APA.
Yea, I guess he didn't see all of those paraded around by Mobama and during the hearing where the Boston chief was rattling his pie hole. I agree that LEO have no business in the political aspect of this crap, except, you know, to support and uphold the the Constitution including the 2nd. |

KEYE has long been the voice of the liberal left in Austin. If you are noticed and mentioned on KEYE it simply means you aren't liberal enough for thier liking. Personally, I like the idea your policy establishes. It fulfills the intent our founders had when they wrote the 2d Amendment.

But but but, you're a gun shop.
What do you know about politics? TXL |

"Most Austin residents we talked with on Monday"
That explains the reaction so far. Sample size includes the libzone known as Austin. Keep Austin Weird and all. Wondered after reading the original Larue statement just how big an impact it would have. I really didn't expect that police departments bought a lot of Larue stuff (at least stuff that would be banned). Police usually buy the budget items and Larue rifles are definitely top end. Mounts, rails, and stuff, maybe, but thats not gonna be banned. |

Can anyone explain why federal agencies (mil I understand) will still be able to purchase, but state and local won't?

Okay I watched a little bit of it till the Dotty lady came on and couldn't handle it anymore.
Whoever did the voice over reporting said "Assault Rifle" more than once. That old fact checking thing gets them everytime. Think I'll shoot a note to old Wayne Vincent and voice my opinion. May try to get my FIL who is retired APD and probably knows Wayne to contact him. My FIL does not think private citizens should be restricted. |

liberals - arrogant liberals that beleive no one but themselves should have a say on how we are governed...again, very disgusting... Thank you Mr. LaRue for your efforts...I will support you with my money and in other ways. |

Glad you received some free advertising. The news media is so stupid, they don't realize they are helping spread the word and that people are smart enough to know LaRue is doing the right thing. Keep up the good work.

Yeah, that article had no bias to it at all...... This. Dangerous times when the media becomes a propoganda arm of either political party. |

The sooner people accept that it's everybody's job to direct politics, the better off we'll be. Most of our problems today stem from people thinking that politics is somebody else's problem. So all the companies that started "rethinking" selling guns is also wrong for directing politics then? and wtf "Police need to have more power to protect the citizens than the average citizen," said Ozzie Gonzales.
So the fact that the police have no obligation to protect ANY citizen is apparently lost on them. Warren vs DC |

Of course the liberal media scum has no problem with Comrade Hussein trotting out kids for his constant politicizing of every issue imaginable. The US media is pure Phuking scum.

I have no problem with LaRue's new policy, why should anyone else?

Read More at: http://www.keyetv.com/news/features/top-stories/stories/new-gun-policy-targets-law-enforcement-agencies-6869.shtml So does this mean that law enforcement is not going to enforce laws passed by the political process? Sorry Wayne. Law enforcement most assuredly is part of the political process. They are the tool by which the politicians enforce the laws they write. So if you don't like the policy that is being applied to you, maybe you should speak to your bosses. They are the ones who are writing the policy. Larue is just passing it along to you and applying it equally. I hope more manufacturers stand up and take this approach. I dream of seeing Glock and S&W get on board with this. |

I wonder how many interviews they did and didn't include? They probably only showed the people who agreed with their story.

Your business, your rules.
Isn't that what the anits argue when they post signs saying "no guns" in a business? |
|
I was born and raised in Texas.
Austin may be the Capitol, but it has long been known as the liberal armpit of Texas. God Bless Texas and LaRue. |

What is the old saying "Any publicity is good publicity"
Lets hope a lot of online readers read most of the excellent comments on the bottom of the article. PS someone needs to send that sheriff a copy of the pocket constitution. |

The police are delegated power... power derived from you & me. For him to say police need MORE power than you & I would be allowed is a blatant insult. |

Fuck the government. Give em a taste of their own medicine.
Good for you Larue!! |
|
Ozzie who is dumber then a box of rocks with yellow and missing teeth said you're wrong! They interviewed two people and they were both dirt bags, definitely a liberal news channel.
|
|
It doesnt affect any LE agencies in TX (as of now) so they shouldnt be concerned.
Keep it up LaRue! |

LaRue is smart as hell for that move.....screw the folks who don't like it!!

This is my response to the article: I support Mark LaRue 100%
"I completely agree with Mark LaRue's policy and I'm a former Deputy Constable. No one has the right to infringe upon our rights to bear arms. The Obama Administration has a hidden agenda. More people are killed by drunk drivers every year than guns. So, why not ban alcohol?? Obama wants to disarm us? Why? I don't want to hear ignorant responses about guns. I've been hunting since I was 8 years old and am now 42 years old and have NEVER had a mishap with a firearm. If you currently purchase a gun from a retail store, you HAVE to go through a background check. So, if there are already processes in place to ensure that firearms are purchased by ONLY those people who can legally own a gun, why is Obama trying to take that RIGHT away??? Felons and other people who can't and shouldn't own firearms will still get firearms through an illegal method. Obama is trying to take away the RIGHTS of the people who can legally own weapons. The term "Assault Rifle" is just that...a TERM. We've had semi-automatic weapons around for years. John F Kennedy was killed with a bolt action rifle. The media does not share the stories where guns have saved hundreds of thousands of lives...they only portray what they want the public to see and believe. I can put a different stock on a gun and by the media's definition, it is now an assault rifle. WAKE UP AMERICA!!! Have you not learned anything from history???? Look at what Hitler did...I mean really and truly study Hitler from the beginning of his reign until the end and you will see that there are SCARY similarities to the Obama Administration. Obama has already shut down the air defense systems in the Southern states...why do you think he did that? Not because of budget cuts because he is wasting money on things that are MUCH less important that the security of our Nation. Why is he trying to disarm the citizens?? Not because guns are unsafe! Criminals will always have guns and if law abiding citizens have that right taken away, who will have guns??? Only criminals! Certain drugs are illegal and there are policies and laws in place for that, but does that stop the illegal drug use in America? NO! What about the Administration providing FULLY AUTOMATIC weapons to the Drug Cartel in Mexico??? Everyone seems to turn a blind eye to that. I truly can't believe that Americans are that dumb!!!! Go ahead and try to pick apart my statements, but before you do, do some REAL homework and get your facts straight. Ask yourself, would disarming a person such as myself have any benefit whatsoever? The answer is NO, it would do more harm than good!" |

The guy in the video with three teeth left that confirmed he has an IQ of 72 really cracks me up! EDIT: Since when are Texas Peace Officers not part of the political process? Last time I checked, Constables & Sheriffs are elected officials in Texas. |
