I just received two of your trigger guards, and I cannot for the life of me get either of them to fit either of the lowers they're supposed to be going on, and now I've read online that others have had the same issue.
On a Noveske lower, it won't even slide into place at all. The other lower is an AAC - it will slide into place on that one, but the hole will not line up straight enough to get the roll pin through the second ear of the receiver. I even tried some other roll pins I had on hand, just to see if that helped…it did not make any difference. I know they can be tricky, but I've installed probably 50 trigger guards over the years (worked in family gun shop for 9 years) and I have never seen anything like this.
I've always been happy with your other products, but this one is bullshit. Someone less experienced would have undoubtedly broken an ear off their lower receiver trying to get the roll pin all the way in on that AAC lower. On top of that, I had to cut the MOE trigger guard off of my AAC lower (they used a roll pin rather than the set screw)....all that work, just so I could pound my head against the wall for an hour trying to get this goofy ass KAC trigger guard on.
Part of the reason I chose KAC is because of your reputation for quality - now I am going to have to eat the shipping charge, and pay more money to send them back...and more money to replace the trigger guard I cut off. All because I trusted the KAC name. Needless to say, I'm pretty pissed off.
I've already sent a request to the seller (weapon outfitters) to get an RMA, but I feel really bad doing that considering the problem is clearly in the design.
So - Does KAC have anything to say about this? Any pointers? Anything at all?
