Heya DPMS just wondering if it would be possible to get a run of the single shot lowers engraved as .50cal? Our DOJ at this time says it won't accept anything that isn't stamped .50BMG and well we don't have much time to wait for a decision from them on if it has to says .50bmg on the reciever..

Manufacturing a single shot AR lower isn't an issue - permit or not. There isn't such a thing as a non-permited single shot rifle even in California. How can you permit something that requires no permit?

Well DPMS was required to get one from the CA DOJ . even though it does not take a magazine and doesn,t even have a magwell. There mentality is if it says AR-15 or is of like name they must approve it. Sorry thats a CA mentality thing, DPMS will send a copy of the letter with the lower receiver if asked to.It was posted on there web site at one time.
