Goes without sayin anything bought these days has to be looked over hard and know what your looking at. Fake or replica parts/optics have been made of everything not just Kac.
It’s one thing to make some for yourself to enjoy. And another thing if there made just to be sold to others and Jack did point that out.
As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I've thought about making a couple for myself
since I have the ability. Nothing wrong or even illegal about that as far as I understand. It's no different than a cloner who has an 80% lower custom engraved with Colt markings for personal use, which is a common practice within that community. If I ever found myself in such a position that I couldn't have them anymore, they would be destroyed. I would NEVER
pass something off as genuine KAC product (or anything else, for that matter) if it wasn't, nor would I sell a fake, even with disclosure.
This thread is making me second guess whether or not this is something I should do. I'm starting to feel that doing so would take away from the time and money others have put into acquiring them, and I'm not sure I deserve to take the easy route, even if it is just something to add to my personal collection. That, and no matter how much I'd like to have a couple, it just wouldn't be the same knowing that they weren't the real deal.
