Called Colt on Thursday afternoon to ask some questions regarding this platform and when they will be producing more. The short answer is not anytime in the foreseeable future and perhaps maybe not ever again due to their focus on government contracts commitments rather than the civilian market. I asked about the 6.5 version and was told Colt will not be producing anymore of that version. So I guess it’s safe to say I’m shit out of luck.

View Quote I guess you haven't learned yet that getting info from the people who answer the phones at colt is about as reliable as CNN when it comes to colt's future production schedule and plans some members of this website know people at colt a lot higher up than the CS that answers the phones. |

Armalite of today is not the original. It's eagle arms and trying to fool you Colt. over 50 years of combat, the real thing www.looserounds.com |

Both are typically hot garbage when it comes to accuracy of information IMO and I place no weight on either. |

On another note, how much play (up and down) do you guys have on the righthand side bolt release. Mine seems kinda loose.

I wish they would bring this platform back with a fluted barrel or something to cut some weight. The MLOK CM762 is heavier than the mark 901. Does anyone know the gas block size for 901’s? I’ve thought of maybe trying an adjustable gas block running it in heavy division.
|
|
|
Gas block journal is 0.750. Also, you'll need an Armalite AR10 carbine length gas tube to replace the straight tube of the 901.

I have a NOS 6.5 I'm placing on Gunbroker. Thought I'd offer it to a AR15.com bro first. |

Does anyone else wish the 20in SASS version the Canadian army has would be released to the US market?

Got a couple of Precision Reflex “Gas Buster” charging handles for the Colt 901/ CM762-16S. One has the Big Latch and the other has the Combat Latch. Both are brand new. Posted them up for sell on Tacswap under the name “garza1014.” Or text me at 956-375-4391

Anyone needs another 901 5.56 adapter, Arms Unlimited got 20 of them in stock yesterday (currently 16 left). $295 shipped, only like $50 more than they were direct from Colt a few years ago, vs. the $500-600 being asked on Gunbroker.
Colt 901 Conversion Kit (Not affiliated with AU in any way other than one of the four sold so far was me) |

14 of them left now, thanks!

Anyone remember the guy who suppressed his 901 and it broke on the upper receiver? I'm trying to find it, but can't. Google-fu is weak.

I was trying to find that a while back but couldn’t. I don’t remember what can he was using. My 901 will be wearing an OSS helix in a few months time so hopefully I won’t have problems.

AU reported no problems using a Surefire SOCOM 762-RC2 on the mid-length and the factory SBR. I’ve got the same suppressor and have had no issues thus far either.
|
|

IIRC the can had nothing to do with the receiver breaking. Whatever he used to secure the upper to do muzzle device work was the culprit.

One more week and it would've been 6 months since I sent it in. Finally got my spare 901 BCG back from Wright Armory, with an NP3+ refinish.
Can't wait to give it a try next time I head to the range! ![]() ![]() |

Anyone missed out on the last drop, I just got an e-mail that they got another drop of 7 adapter kits: LE901 5.56 Adapter Kit

I’ve wanted to get another 901 BCG and get it coated. |
