I know DPMS advises that further disassembly is not needed when cleaning but I recently went on a hunting trip at our deer lease and the roads have been covered by white gravel / concrete by the natural gas drilling companies. As I was riding around in a Rhino my SASS collected a lot of the white dust. I have cleaned the inside, and operation is not a concern. However, under the quad rail the barrel and inside of the rail are still covered in white concrete dust.
Is there a way to remove the quad rail without voiding the warranty? It's a new rifle. Is there a manual that shows the factory authorized way to remove it if I decide to take it off? My fear is that the concrete dust will begin to eat the protective anodizing on the barrel and inside of the quad rail.
Thanks in advance!
