An MI sling adapter broke, I fucked up and over-reacted.
My bile of an original post removed, with a public apology.

I apologize to all of you, and especially the staff at MI for my public outburst. I made a scene, which was not only inappropriate, but shameful for a soldier to do. All I ask is that you don't form any negative opinions of soldiers in general due to my conduct--the fuck up was mine and mine alone.
Reflecting today on why I behaved out of character last night, it became clear the sling mount breaking was just a psychological excuse to vent on a company that doesn't deserve that level of vitriol. I've been getting dogged the last couple of weeks by higher because of things way outside of my control, and then additional pressure of attending a marksmanship course with ~40% failure rate caused me to bottle a lot of that up. The sling broke at a time when I was unconsciously looking for any excuse to vent, and I did not have sufficient self-control and self-awareness to catch myself in time.
My personal circumstances are only the cause and in no way an excuse for my over-reaction. I apologize again for my inappropriate comments, and will keep this in mind as a lesson to think through before I post.
Sorry to hear you had a problem with the sling mount, what you are describing is not normal. Can you send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org as I would like to get more information about the adaptor.
