Somebody is blowing smoke up your behind! As anti-gun as Connecticut is, I don't believe they'd let a major military manufacturer move out.
Colt's website has no mention of any relocation, which would be a newsworthy event.
Colt's also was recently awarded ISO-9001:2000 Quality Certification as well as Quality Certification from the Dept of Defense. These were awarded for the Hartford plant. If Colt's indeed relocated elsewhere, they would have to reapply for the Quality Certification, which is not easy and not cheap.
$1,100 for a postban Colt? Starting rumors like that is just a way to qualify that dealer's inflated prices!
