I did a similar post 5-6 years ago concerning the same issues, was told the same BS apparently, thanking me for this and that only to have continued the same horrible packaging or in most cases even worse than the horrible job they did years ago.
I will add the last three shipments I've received from Brownell's looked worse than OP's, left on my porch with a "ring and run". Items appeared to be all there and no un-repairable damaged to them but some parts were bent and such and required massaging from being tossed in a box individually for a 1000 mile trip. Barrels were wrapped and boxed separately but smalls were just tossed in.
I was shocked and happy they remained in the box but many items were much smaller than the hole. Appeared the delivery driver had enough sense or dumb luck to keep the hole facing up this time, as I've picked up Brownells parts from my front yard on more than one occasion over the years. They obviously don't and never will get it. A little intelligence in their packaging department is obviously deemed unnecessary in more than a few isolated instances..
