Correction. I did not receive the magazines for free, I paid ~$15 each for them. Yeah, its nice Magpul is stepping up to the plate to correct a problem but thats what responsible companies do. Others piss off their customers and eventually fall by the way side
. I dont feel like I owe Magpul anything extra because they are doing the right thing. Its self preservation for them. Should I thank Ford for doing a recall and fixing the cruise control in my truck even though I havent had a fire (yet)? I would bet Magpul has had many times more mag problems proportionally then Ford vehicles has had fires caused by the cruise control switch yet they have recalled over 10,000,000 vehicles. Under the right circumstances, a faulty mag can be equally deadly as a vehicle fire
Again, not a knock on Magpul. I appreciate them doing the right thing but I dont think anyone owes them anything extra for doing it. As a customer you have the right to expect the product to work right every time when you paid for it. I will continue to purchase their products, because they stand behind them. Although I wish they were a little quicker in rectifying the situation
Now if they want me to "test" some provided product I will lower my expectations and increase my appreciation
