I've owned a post ban Colt (please don't throw rotten fruit) for several years but have had an eye out for a good deal on a pre ban. Well, today at the range, I found the good deal and I've decided to purchase the rifle.
I was hoping that someone might be able to give me a little more info on this particular rifle from the collective wisdom here. I posted this under Rifles, Uppers, Lowers etc. on the forum board before I found the industry area (new site still has me confused, and back to junior member again
I called Bushmaster and they verified that it was a pre ban. The serial number is AHF1xx and they told me it was made for the American History (historical?) Foundation. The Bushmaster rep I spoke with on the phone told me that they also made runs for the various branches of the military too. My question is does this increase the value of the rifle and does anyone have any idea of how many were made. The rep didn't have this info handy and they seemed busy so I didn't want to delay customer service too much.
It is in pre ban configuration with a bird cage suppressor, bayo lug, and A1 upper (no FA). Any additional info that anyone can offer will be greatly appreciated.
