Well the time has come that everyone has been waiting for. The Dillos are done and are being prepared for shipping.  Before everyone gets all excited, there are few things that I would like to share.

There has been a lot of discussion in the back channels among the guys that started Pack LaRue. We have come to refer to ourselves as "The Founding Hounds".  These gentlemen have all participated in various or all covert ops of the Pack.  Nearly half of these gentlemen have a personal background that includes Mlitary,Law Enforcement, Emergency Management, Emergency Services, EMS, and Firefighting.  



They are the members of the LaRueminati, SS17 and DDSS17; and they have collectively become what is now "Pack LaRue".

 All of these gentlemen have one thing in common; they are all AR15.com team members and have spent a considerable amount of time and money doing good for others within our group and within the AR15.com community in general. If you see someone offering up a free Dillo or gifting a TEAM membership, there is a high probability it will be one of these guys. So, here is the list of the founding hounds and our four newest members who have earned a spot amongst this group.

In our discussions we all felt that this Dillo was meant for true supporters of Mark LaRue and his company. It is also the general consensus that it should be reserved for supporters of AR15.com. So, in keeping with Mark's requirement in his UHFO contest, and to say thank you to the Avilas for allowing us to use the BFL logo on the Dillo. You have to be a Team member of AR15.com to purchase a Dillo.

In other words, you gotta have some skin in the game. What? You think that's not fair? Don't have a membership? Several of the "Founding Hounds" have offered to gift at least one membership each out of their own pockets.  We will start a separate thread where you can plead your case. If one of the Hounds feels you are worthy, you might become the owner of a Pack Dillo and a Team member of AR15.com.


 A little info on the Dillo itself; this is a one time limited run and only so many are available. These were gifted to the Pack by Mark LaRue, that's right FREE.  The reason that Mark decided to give them to us is that we were holding the final vote on the design and he was shutting down the custom Dillo production. As much as we would like to send everyone a free Dillo it just isn't possible.

At last count there were 290 individuals that posted in the original "Pack LaRue" thread. If everyone in that thread wanted two Dillos, there would not be enough to go around.



The numbers 00000 through 00100 are reserved for the Founding Hounds and for future donations or gifts.  New members of the pack and AR15.com that distinguish themselves as deserving individuals may well end up with one of these.




Therefore, it has been decided that it is a one per person deal. They will be individually numbered on the bottom of the feet and paired up with the lucky recipient. We felt by doing that, hopefully everyone who wants one can get one. It also makes them a little more personal. It also provides a way to out someone who tries to sell one on Ebay for $400.00.  I am sure anybody who tries to sell a Pack LaRue Dillo on Ebay would quickly find themselves in a veritable shitstorm.

 After much discussion we have decided to make them available . After all expenses are covered, the remaining funds will be used in a fundraiser to benefit our warfighters; that is currently in the planning stages.  

Cost is $10

Also in keeping with Mark's spirit of supporting our service men and women.  If you are having your Dillo mailed to an APO/FPO, the Dillo is on us. That's right, it's free... even the shipping.  It is our very small way of saying thank you for your service.

We are truly sorry if we have offended anyone, but this seemed like the only way to keep the integrity of the Pack and the Pack Dillo secure.  If you are one of the Lucky few that are able to get one, be prepared to get "called into duty" on the Pack's next covert op or you might even be the target. And last of all thank you, Mark and Mark.  We really appreciate the gift of the Dillos.  It is by doing stuff like this that you have such a loyal following from your customers.

Thank's for doing this.  I have one Question.  My brother is also a team member here and wants to get a limited dillo also.  The problem is is that we only have one paypal acount.  
I know it said that if you try to pay for 30 only 1 will be sent the rest goes to a charity, I am all for this.  We have no other way of paying for them.

Negative, you only have to be a paying team member on AR15.com

Just have him post in the team thread and we will send the link and. Make individual orders and pay for them separately.

I'm going to buy one, my only question is has it been decided yet where the funds are going to go?
