How are you liking that Leupy? I may go this route because I really like the reticle for this type of rifle but I have read that when illuminated it is still difficult to see during the day?
I actually love it. Once sighted in with FGMM, add KAC's BulletFlight with the Iphone, and it's a match made in heaven out to 500. (furthest I've shot it so far)
I have the newer Mk 4, with the brighter reticle. On "8", the highest setting, it is certainly visible in broad daylight, although I wouldn't say it's entirely "usefully" visible. I really, really, like the off position in between settings; which allows you to pick a brightness, then turn it once more and shuts off, then when you need the reticle lit, just turn it once and there you are......
I almost didnt go with the Leupold, from reading all the hate online. But after months of comparing from every optic in that category, I bet on the Leupy, and say that for the money, features, etc, I am well pleased. No, it's not FFP, but after being honest with myself, it's something I don't need, and have lived without FFP for all my shooting life. It even got a good test, only a week after I got; I was shooting in sleet mix with rain, and a 15-20mph N-NW wind. It never missed a beat.
