Well, I have to disagree about Colt not giving a rat's ass about us. I can only speak for myself, but when it comes to AR-15s, I think highly of Colt because five times over now they have provided me with a well made, high quality product that worked right out of the box every single time. That's right, no excessive windage, improperly indexed barrels, loose gas keys, splitting bolt carriers, oversized chambers, or a literal litany of other fit, finish, and functional problems commonly reported here with many of the other brands. That's where Colt gives a "rat's ass" about me. In supplying me with a product that is properly manufactured in the first place and not expecting me to deal with the frustration of having to return for repair what never should have left the factory in the first place.
Is any of that saying Colt is perfect? No. Do they occassionally slip up? You bet. Could theire customer service be better? Sure. Do they churn out screwed up products anywhere near as often as the other mass manufacturers of ARs? No way.
Colt also has a long, colorful history and a wide variety of models and configurations that appeal to collectors and those who just don't to settle for any old run-of-mill AR-15. In addition, Colt has the most experience with developing and evolving the AR-15 platform into what it is today and it shows in the quality and performance of their product.
I am a BM and RRA fan because they are interested in me as a customer.
Good for you. Aren't there more appropriate forums in which to indulge your preferences?
I also wish that I would have read your post on this forum before I answered your question about the Vector Arms UZI mags (probably less likely to have helped).
Well, that is sad and shows a lack of maturity and tolerance on your part. Even if I disagree with a fellow member over petty issues like brand preferences or other minor differences of opinion, I'm still willing to help him if I am able.
I am not here to judge anyone for what they believe in or like. I was just curious to hear why people love Colt so much. Nothing more, nothing less..
Well, now you've got it.
