I am almost finished with my latest build (mostly used parts from the EE), and I have everything but the stripped lower. I really like the look of the DoubleStar stripped lowers - that logo is awesome, and the font of the text looks VERY nice. I wish I could trade one of my DPMS lowers in on a DSC lower.
Anyway, all I have is two DPMS lowers and three different uppers. I have an Oly Plinker Plus upper that has a VERY dark black C7/A1 upper receiver that's darker than my DPMS lowers. I have a Del-ton T-marked flat-top M4 upper that is LIGHTER than my DPMS lowers, and I have a DPMS rifle upper that's a perfect match (duh, I guess) for my DPMS lowers. If the DSC lowers are lighter (more gray) or darker (more black) than DPMS, I am going to get one. Ah heck, I'm probably going to get one anyway, no matter what to get that awesome text font and logo. Do you have any idea where the DSC finish is on the scale of black-ness?
I've looked at the builds thread, and the lowers look really dark, but there aren't any other lowers in the same pic for comparison.
