I ordered two holiday packs of windowed mags either on 12-17-12 or 12-21-12 (I had two separate orders so I'm not sure which one the mags were on) and it arrived today (1-21-13). Initially I was extremely frustrated because several people I know locally had been ordering and receiving mag orders within one to two weeks while my order was a month old and nothing. I sent an email and got the standard "don't email us, we're too busy to answer you" reply. I waited a week or so while watching others receive their orders, again with one to two week turnarounds, and I finally blew a fuse. I emailed DSG again a, respectfully, requested that they please just check and my sure my order wasn't lost or something and if my order was being held because they don't have a particular item to please just ship what they had and ship anything else when in comes in. I got another "too busy" response but the same day my account showed DSG pulled some money. That day or the next I got a message they were shipping part of my order which turned out to be my mags. The mags arrived today and I also got a notice that they were shipping a couple other items from my orders.
I don't know the situation. Maybe it was being held until they had everything or maybe the order was misplaced or maybe they just were so slammed it just took this long. I can't explain how all these other people were ordering mags way after me and getting them way before me but I assume it had to do with that's all they ordered and they were shipping orders based on total completion which is both good and bad. No customer wants to order several hundred dollars worth of product and then be told 'you'll get it when you get it and don't ask when that will be'. I want to be pissy about it but, frankly, this situation is unique and DSG has been working their butts off selling mags at regular price when just about every other dealer ( CTD )has jacked their prices up and gouged their loyal customers. All things considered DSG deserves some major respect for not gouging their customers when most of their competition was doing so. I can only hope DSG is making some decent profits for selling at normal prices and keeping their customers while others tried to gouge their customers and lost many of them in the process. I for one will never buy again from CTD and the others and give DSG as much business as possible.
Hope you guys with outstanding orders get yours soon. It's frustrating but I have no doubt they are really trying to make everyone happy even if that's always possible.
I don't know if anyone from DSG reads these posts but if they do let me please express my appreciation for your service and maintaining your principles while those around you showed their lack thereof.
