hahaha. great idea and initiative, but after widdling, might suggest the use of sandpaper to smooth all widdle marks. (Im sure I spelled widdle, whittle, whatever wrong, but then again I'm not professing to be a woodworker either). Probably could look pretty good with some finishing work, its got the right angle and look, just needs refinement. Also, looks like you just added stain to it like bbq sauce and expected it to just "bake on". Stain should be done in layers, rubbed in and wiped off until desired color is achieved. Good luck to ya.
