I am going to purchase either the Compact 2.5X Prism Scope or the Compact 4X Prism Scope for my SR-22. First of all, I realize that the ACSS reticle is not designed for .22LR, but I will learn to adapt as neccessary. I know that P.A. makes a dedicated .22LR scope with the ACSS, but I just prefer the looks of the Aimpoint or ACOG type optic on the SR-22. I really like the idea of the extra magnification of the 4X because I like to shoot from the bench at a local 80 yard range. However, I also enjoy the up close and personal (10 - 15 yard) plinking out through about 50 acres of undeveloped property of mine. Will the 4X be too much magnification for the plinking? It's a shame that it isn't variable 1.5X - 5X... LOL. What are your thoughts?
