Why do certain stripped Colt M4 Carbine (semi) lowers have QR codes on them? When did this start?
They sell for $375 opposed to $495.
All new production Colt lower receivers have the QR codes, I think they started adding them about a year ago.
As with anything that is not in production anymore at Colt the price goes up.
I bought one of the stripped QR code marked lowers from SAW last year. It was was worth it to me because I couldn't find any other quality stripped lowers that didn't have any of that new gimmicky crap on them, like tension screws, threaded bolt catch roll pin holes and threaded take down detent pin holes.
I'm also not really a fan of selector stops so that leaves Colt as the only option. I looked hard at the stripped forged lowers from Battle Arms Development because they also don't have selector stops but I just couldn't get past the gimmicky crap on them either.
