I'm new to this site but have learned a lot since I've arrived. In 1994 I bought a COLT Govt. Carbine Blue Label with a serial number in the low 9900 range. This rifle has the bayonet lug, birdcage flash hider and the receiver block.
I understand this is classified as a Pre-Ban Rifle with a serial # below 18000 and was made before Sept 1994, but how does it differ from the COLT Green Label Govt. Carbines? I was led to believe that all Blue Label COLTs did not have the Bayo lug or flash hider.
FYI, this rifle is still unfired and new in the box and wrapper. I paid $1100.00 for it but I guess they've gone up in value a little. Is this rifle considered collectible?
Thanks for your help!
