Ask me why we need to update our on-hold message ...
" Why ?" Well, I'll tell ya pilgrim ... Because it say says we got 16 or so CNCs, when in fact, at last count, we have over 85 CNCs of this sort or another. Vertical and horizontal Haas machining centers out the gazooo, a room full of Okuma turning centers and Citizen screw machines ... a stand-alone R&D shop with CNC mills and lathes (manual stuff too) ... ... a blasting room King Charles would be envious of ... ... and none of that is in the LaTool Room. The LaTool Room is chocked full of Mitsubishi wire EDMs and Mits sinkers too ... a bunch of Haas 'chinin' centers are there too ... specialized CNC graphite mills ... and a truckload of Mitsui tool grinders (gives them toolmakers something carpenters know about ), Blanchards, big reciprocating grinders, 'tween center grinders, punch presses ... and a few bit holders too. Anyhow, been negligent not letting the folks know, wait, forgot about the Fanuc robot, anyhow where was I ? Forklifts, got three forklifts to round out the list. We ain't no lathe-in-a-lean-to outfit, we are 50,000+ square feet of Deathstar. M. LaRue |

I LOL'ed to myself when the female voice said "God Bless Our Troops, Especially Our Snipers," in a nice sweet upbeat voice!

The voices on the phone sound like the same canned voices I hear on hold with other companies. I think they need updated to real people.
|
|
I don't know what all that means, but sounds good. I've never been put on hold.

I jut think that when the voice says "Here at LaRue Tactical" it should come from someone who is actually at LaRue Tactical.

It also doesn't list the correct lengths for Stealth uppers. That was my first thought when I read the title of the thread. Last time I called it said something about 10 inch stealth uppers. |

Once again, it was especially funny because I know you all read it out loud to yourself, under your breath, with the appropriate accent (OK, some of you southern folk just read it normally). |

Tell me this Mark,
With all that quality gear at the LT compound, have you ever considered doing any contract work for the DOD? Or are all of those machines at maximum capacity? Don't tell me that your CAGE is only for GSA? Shit, Colt Defense, Sabre Defense and FN Herstal even dabble in the 1005's.....with that collection of machinery the entire FSG 10 is yours for the taking, let alone FSC 5342 and beyond. And if you're rusty on those supply groups and supply classes, go ahead...cheat a little..... http://www.dlis.dla.mil/H2/default.asp So Sabre cleared a little over $500,000 in competitive contracting in the past year. Not a bad way to fill in some occasional production capacity...... |
