I see that the CAR lengths finally made it out, has anyone seen or heard about any middies yet?
Patiently waiting. |
any word on your mid length? Ordered mine oct 8th. No word yet
I haven't heard a thing. I ordered mine early January and was told 4 to 12 weeks. Almost switched to a Carbine when they came out, but I like the look of the midlength better. Oh well, I guess we just wait.
yep, we wait. I actually sbr'ed my lower since this order. So Im going to cut the middy down to 10.5" with car guards. Oh well.. live and learn I guess!
Only some of the cars made it out. Mine was ordered mid September. Complete rifle. Still waiting.
ordered 10.5" SBR on October 13th 2008
called last week and was told they can't get receivers or barells they said they couldn't tell me 2 weeks or 8 months. I just hope this doesn't turn into a 3 year wait like the .308's |
Ordered a 9mm mid-length on Janurary 26th. Was told originally 20 weeks. Got an e-mail yesterday that it's 22-25 weeks now.
canceled my 8 month order. Ordered oct 8th. Perhaps some of you got bumped up the list.. Good luck to you all that are still waiting. I should have my spikes by the end of the week.

Just to keep this up front - Lung was told maybe 3 to 6 more weeks, anybody else hear anything.
good luck Bill, I ordered the spikes and had it in 8 days, its slick. Kinda pisses me off after waiting 8 months on RR. Ah, but thats how it goes I guess. Take care, let me know if you hold out for it and get it.

BTT
Anyone hear anything? I saw that ADCO had some 9mm CARs in stock early last week. Lung, How is that Spikes? |

I got a call this morning from Rock River, they mentioned the Midlengths are going to be built in the next 30 days.
You beat me to it. I was informed that 9mm's will be shipping out by the end of August.

I'm hearing 6-8 weeks for MY approval and stamp, just wondering how long I have to wait to start that wait. |
I waited forever for one (midlength) too. Finally got it in February and haven't even had a chance to get it out of the safe. I haven't put a single round through it and I'm thinking about putting it on the EE. If one of you guys have interest shoot me an IM.
FYI. If I do post it I'll probably ask $950 + shipping if FFL with accept delivery from individual. Good luck with your wait either way. |
I had one on backorder for 8 months or so (ordered just before the Nov. election) and gave up. I bought a Spike's 9mm M4 barrel and built my own. I decided to build another one, so I placed another order two months or so ago - waiting again.
I hope they make TONS of them to fill the orders and get to mine too. I hate waiting. ETA: Ah, holy crap. PK Firearms has them in stock. I ordered and was charged up front. He charges a cancellation/restocking fee, so I'm locked in to that one. You guys looking for one, feel free to dogpile over on PK Firearms. |

Well I got my call. Less than a month of a wait. Not bad. Join the game late and still win.

Well, I guess they got some 9mm barrels in. Mine is a car though. 9mm complete rifle ordered 09/13/08 by my dealer. I just got the call today that it arrived. Just a few days shy of 11 months. I will pick it up this weekend. Then start the next wait to SBR and suppress it.

Mine was through a RRA dealer. The largest gun dealer in the state. Mine took almost 11 months. Go figure.

BRONZ, did you buy a complete middy rifle and not just an upper, or was it just a 9mm middy upper half? I'm trying to decide if my upper half is coming this week or not so I know to hang around for the UPS/Fedex man, but I know I have read they ship entire rifles faster than uppers and parts. Any info would be appreciated.

I ordered mine through ADCO back in early January, nothing yet.

So is anybody else still waiting for their midlength 9, or am I the only one?

So is anybody else still waiting for their midlength 9, or am I the only one? Nothing yet for me. I look at the doorstep every day when I get home from work expecting it to be there (or a hangtag on the door). Nope. |

UPS stuck an info notice on my door yesterday that indicates I have a package from "RRA" they tried to deliver that requires an adult signature.
Where's the dancing banana? Oh, here it is... |
8:10 this morning.........Ding Dong...........................YES
Got my middie. Fits good on my Fulton Lower. Will take pics but I cant find the camera. Dang kids. Ordered July 15 got it on Sept. 9. about 2 months. Note to RRA: Thanks you for a first rate product and a very fast delivery time. I came into the game late and only had to wait 2 months. There are many others that have been waiting months and months. In my book that's customer loyalty. Waiting for up to a year for some is loyalty. Don't you think. They could have gone elsewhere or just dropped the project. How about RRA throw these guys a bone. How about a shirt or something to lessen the wait pain. It won't hurt your bottom line and its shows your customers you guys really appreciate their business. |
Just got mine out of the UPS guy's hands.
I ordered a month or two before BRONZ from LegalTransfers, and we got them on the same day. Weird. Anyway, the flash suppressor is dinged up (or not finished right?) on mine in a few spots. It's silver - not parked. Oh well - I'll hit it with some cold blue and roll at this point. I'm just proud to have it. |
Took mine out yesterday.
Tried fed frang. our training ammo and some speer lawman. Didn't like the frang. stuff but it was 100% with lawman. |

Are these mid-lengths shipping with a triangle or round handguard caps?
I'm currently looking for rails for my upcoming build. |

Are these mid-lengths shipping with a triangle or round handguard caps? I'm currently looking for rails for my upcoming build. Triangle handguard caps are the default standard for all middies. For instance, RRA sells all of theirs with triangle caps (9mm and 5.56), and Cavalry Arms makes their midlength handguards to fit triangle caps only. I've never seen one with a round cap and a midlength gas system, but I am sure it can be done. I vaguely remember seeing a good deal on some Surefire rails a few months ago that were middy rails for a round handguard cap. I think that's why it was a good deal - it didn't really fit anything unless you beat out the FSB pins and swapped the cap. |

The M81 is a midlength rail that attaches with a round endcap. These can be had for reasonable prices currently. Now the decision to either purchase a midlength or carbine length 9mm upper. |
