I will be getting my new Colt collapsable stock from SAW today and am wondering if there is anything I need to keep an eye on when I go to swap out the fake one. Keep in mind I have never done one of these before so any help would be great.
Mine was a BITCH to get off. I was hitting the CAR Stock wrench with a hammer, and I couldn't get the nut to turn. I had a local armorer loosen it for me. I was "staked" on, from what I'm told.
Looks so much better with a 6 position on it!

I did it! I got that damn fake stock off my Colt 6400. I ended up drilling out the two staked areas and used a punch and small hammer to loosen the nut and did the rest by hand (I would have used the special tool but I broke it yesterday trying to get the damn thing apart). I ended up putting a new Colt 4 position M4 stock from SAW on it and it looks great. Cant wait until I order my next item.
