Finally got my June 8 form 4 (woohoo!) on my Griffin RSTA and of course had to try it out on my 7.62 PredatOBR. The brass was ejecting at 1 o'clock whether I ran the gas block in the suppressed or unsuppressed position. I assume that means the carrier is going way too fast, what's the best way to slow that down? Heavier buffer? New spring? Combination of both? I like how it's keeping the brass out of my face (lefty) but I don't want to beat the snot out of everything if I don't have to.

TLDR how do I slow down my bcg with new suppressor?

What length barrel?

Ultimately I don't think 1'oclock means you are over gassed necessarily. Do you feel the bolt slamming all the way to the back or is there no noticeable "second" recoil when the BCG reaches the back? How does it sound? When an 15 is over gassed you can hear it beating itself up.

Honestly if the brass doesn't look overly beat up, the deflector isn't getting gouged and the rifle is running well I think you're find...especially if it's a 14.5 or 16" gun.

18" barrel. I guess I don't notice that it feels like it's slamming but I've only run about 20 rounds through it as well. This is my first can experience.

If it will run reliably with good accuracy LEAVE IT ALONE.

I tried to correct the same condition on my 7.62 tAR with buffer/springs, but it seemed to create new problems when running unsuppressed. I'm using an SLR adjustable block now with good success, but realize that doesn't help you. If ejection location is your only complaint, I would probably leave it alone unless you plan to run 100% suppressed.

I switched out my red spring and h2 buffer for a h3 and sprinco orange. Has made a huge difference. Still cycles fine and locks open on empty. This is an obr unsuppressed running medium loads but it might be what your looking for. Very smooth operation compared to violent slam I was getting.

My TarHeavy does the same. 1oclick either way w 16in barrel. Ran mine through a precision course w no issues.

Where does it eject without the suppressor?

Will it cycle with the PST set to suppressed, without the suppressor?

I don't notice much difference between unsuppressed and suppressed without the can. It still cycles either way

So, I've shot it a little more suppressed and it's been jamming quite a bit so I decided the clean the dirty girl, noticed the brass seems to be knicking the front of the upper where the handguard attaches and that must be what is kicking my brass back into my chamber, almost like another brass deflector so I definitely need to tame the ejection a bit. It has standard h2 buffer as from factory, what should I look at switching?

Handloads
42gr varget, 168 gr pill.
Don't have cratering of the primer or any other signs of excessive pressure.
