Well the Lakeland FL gunshow was good to me again. Picked up SP 030XX for a pretty decent price. Someone had spraypainted the entire rifle black. Spent about two hours when I got home with the lacquer thinner. The green-gray finish is thin in spots, but not too bad. The worst find was the 3/8" by 1 1/4" spot of bright aluminum above the selector hole on the right side of the lower. Must have rubbed in a patrol car rifle rack or something. The rifle still had all the early features (edgewater buffer, no forward assist notches on the bolt carrier, chrome bolt, milled firing pin retainer pin, roll pinned buffer tube, etc.) Does anyone have any suggestions for covering up the bright spot? Also any suggestions for a shop to re-anodize the upper and lower?
