The barrel is stamped under the handguards. It will have DD plus additional markings depending on your barrel, date produced, etc.

mine has no markings at all.
the very early CHF barrels didn't have markings. ETA: curious to know how many of them are out there without markings. |

Our barrels are marked on top of the barrel between the chamber and the gas port. We chose this location do the many different lenghts we offer. We can't exactly mark the barrel in front of the gas port on a 10.3", 11.5", and 12.5" barrel. We had only one batch of barrels that weren't roll marked. This was when we first started making our barrels and didn't have our roll mark machine yet.
Our roll marks have evolved over the past year. Currently manufactured barrels will be marked with "DD F MP 5.56 NATO 1/7 xx/xx" (date stamp). |

Some of our earlier uppers (Pre March 2009) had cut rifled barrels and semi auto BCGs. All current production upper receiver groups and rifles will have CHF barrels and F/A BCGs

The quality of our older uppers is just as good as currently manufactured uppers with a few different specs. The barrels and the BCGs are the only different components. Everything else is the same and all are function tested before they leave our facility to ensure they run properly.

I have a barrel marked with 'DD 556 NATO 1/7 08/09'. Is this a CHF barrel just without an F mark?
