Out with the old and in with the new! These new HDMR/DMR Gen II scopes are fantastic for the money. Optical quality is slightly below the Razor, but I'll take that in return for a much shorter and lighter scope. Shaved 1lb 5oz switching over, and it is very noticeable. Went with the H59 reticle, going to zero this weekend and then take it for a spin at the local match.

D3- At the bottom of THIS POST you show Hornady factory 130 MV's.
They appear to slow down over time. I thought barrels speed up over time? Do you have one sheet showing all your data for just these factory rounds? I should have some MV data tomorrow from a fresh barrel. |

I'll started a new thread before I should have looked and posted here.....did anyone capture velocity differences between 18" and 22" with same load? I see MV of 130gr ELDs around 2775fps out of 22" at sea level, but can find the 18" comparable.

Yes, we have a data point with the H130's but it was with a new barrel that had not been broken in. I'll look it up and post it later.

Had a great weekend.
I won the 3 gun match and got 3rd on the long range. More data attained on the 130 TMK load I developed for my 260. Shot a couple 5 shot 100 yard groups to get mv data. .64" and .82" is what I got. 2884 fps average with an sd of 7. Last time I tested this load I got 2902fps average but it was warmer and later in the day with a hot gun and ammo. Dope was still dead nuts on. We shot out to 1220 yards on Sunday and the 260 performed flawlessly. I will take it out to a mile next trip out. I did take some photos but will have to post later from my CPU as they are appearing to be to large to use directly from my phone. I am so use to wind and a 175 SMK that I am struggling with the wind on this skinny bullet. I have a bad habit of holding too much and not trusting my dope. I have not got used to it yet. Also played with the sig 2400 lrf this weekend. They are nice. Also got to use my Radius lrf mounted on my rifle out past 1000. I used it as an aiming laser with my nvgs Saturday night as well. It works pretty damn good in scan mode. Stay tuned for pics. |

Welp....I was planning on taking a LR course down in Waco at Tiger Valley since our other plans fells through. Instead, I'll be burning that vacation to head to Houston to help family members gut the inside of their house.
