Just got to look one of these over last night and really liked it. I should be putting the upper together tonight and taking it to the range this weekend. Setup is obviously 16" with an Adams mid length piston setup. I can't wait to see it shoot this weekend and see how accurate it is.

Didn't make it to a standard range due to lines and time crunches but went out and put 250 rounds through it without a single issue. We were shooting at less than 20 yards so nothing about accuracy yet but the first shot was almost perfect for having never been sighted before. It was a little low but straight on. Didn't take much to move it up and its fun to shoot. Works and assembled well with the Adams piston kit for a very, very nice upper. I REALLY hope you offer more variants of this barrel. I would love to see a 300 Blackout version to go on sale as I would probably pick one of those dudes up. Maybe even some lightweight SBR profiles as well. PLLEEEASE make it happen!

For now it's a proprietary cartridge. As far as the lightweight SBR profiles, we may get there if the demand is large enough. |

I noticed today that the Select Barrel page has been stocked with a Nitride finish variant for $219.95. Is it just this particular barrel type or are all Select Barrels going from the $189.95 to this new price point? Thanks. |

Got my select barrel with nitride finish in today. I can say I am definitely happy with the purchase so far. I was a little nervous about the contour the barrel had but I can say it was well within the area I was looking. I won't be able to get the upper built and assembled for a few weeks since I am going to get the barrel cut down a little. Once I get it all built, I will post pictures and report back.

Got my select in stainless this last Monday. All I can say is WOW...finish is awesome and if it shoots anything like it looks it will be awesome. Killer fast shipping ans Rainier customer service is top notch via email and all of my annoying phone calls..lol... Thanks again!

Finally got to shoot my build over the weekend.
Specs on the rifle: RA 16" select barrel with vortex FH Troy 13.8" FF rail VLTOR A2 stock Burris TAC30 1-4x24 in AD recon mount 
Ammo: 55g FMJ PMC Report: Chilly and sunny, no wind. Set up at 25m IOT zero the scope. Started off shooting low and left. Walked the scope up the paper till I was shooting one ragged hole just above center mass. 
I couldn't be happier

I just finished my first complete build using a Rainier 16in select barrel. I sighted in at 50 yards with a Trijicon TA11J-G. I don't have a range report but believe it will do the trick on coyotes out past 100yards.
