Been busy with other projects but following this with interest as I have not seen this before. I am thinking maybe something is out of alignment here, like the BHOA not fitting in the rifle properly
or the BHOA bent and catching on the edge of the magazine, etc. You
know, if I had this thing in front of me we could just pull out one of
mine and put them side by side and see what was going on. Its hard to do
that without pictures.
I am thinking the same thing since the case rims should not be that far
back to get under that tab on the BHOA. Could also be that the magazine
lips are worn or damaged at the rear, allowing the cases to sit back too
far in the magazine?
It looks like you have the Gen I BHOA with the thinner "flat" tab. The
later adapters have thicker tabs with the most current versions having a
chamfered end tab. This is one of the transitional versions that I
modified by adding the chamfer.
But with that much brass showing on yours, I would check out the position of your BHOA and any wear on your magazine(s)
closely before calling it fixed. JMHO.
And
maybe clip a coil or two from your bolt catch spring
if you continue to have problems with the bolt locking back after the last
round is fired. ~ That one is a helpful tip from your friendly local
CMMG beta testers we have here.
