2C:39-1(o) defines a sawed-off shotgun as any shotgun with <18" barrel length, OR any rifle with <16" barrel length (or either if the OAL < 26")

2C:39-3(b) declares possession of a sawed-off shotgun as a crime of the 3rd degree (3-5 year sentence)
