like i needed to say that.

friend in south ga. has for sale   an Olympic pre-ban for $850   and 600 rounds of white box/pmc mixture and 2 USGIs for $100.

think i am going to pass on the pre ban and wait on the ban of the ban
some of the other forums don't think much of anything except the high dollar ammo.    last xm193 i paid .17c/rd.    dealer said no more for that now.

I'd wait. Mags will get cheaper and if I was going for a preban, it probably wouldn't be an Oly.

I think I'd pass on the mags and ammo.  I really believe the ban will sunset without a replacement.  HOWEVER!!!  Anything can happen.  We all know that.  Is the Oly a forged lower?  If it is forged, at that price I think I'd jump on it.  You aren't paying too much more than the cost of a new rifle.  If the ban dies, you're out an extra $100 or so.  If something happens and we get stuck with a new ban, you're covered.

I'd pay $100 for the added piece of mind.

Now if the lower is a cast, I'd pass on it in a heartbeat.

Even if it's cast, Oly will "repair it" with a forged receiver with the same serial number for like $75.
(somewhere around that price)
A brand new preban lower.
One of the perks of going Oly preban.
