if you have a standard fsb and you put just the rear bus on it are they compatible ? and before it comes up NO this is not for a gun for me

I'm curious about that as well-I just put together my first flat top and have a flip up rear site coming (running an Eotech with a fixed FSB).

An "F" marked front sight base is slightly taller for use with flat top receivers. Standard front sight bases on flat top uppers may not have enough adjustment to zero the BUIS. (Front sight will "unscrew" out of FSB).
If you have a standard FSB and have run out of adjustment with the standard front sight post, you can install a taller front sight post to get the weapon properly zeroed. Hope this helps........

My upper is a 16" heavy barrel I had since the late 80's.Swapped the A1 for a flat top.Looks like I'm gonna need a taller front post.
