Just a quick hello from the new guy.
I just recently got into the AR game. So far I'm enjoying myself :).

Coolness. I probably will be snagging one up too, soon.

What kinda AR?

And BTW... Hi!

I picked up a DPMS panther lite. I'll learn from this one. The next one I'll assemble myself exactly the way I want it.

Welcome, Papa. What reciever will you use in the build project?

I'm not really sure yet. I was thinking of trying my hand at an 80% lower. But since I am so new to all of this, I don't want to bite off more than I can chew. I've looked at the usual suspects; including one company from CT that supposedly makes the lowers for some of the other manufacturers(CMT I think).

Honestly, at this point, I don't really know what to look for that would make one mfg. a more attractive purchase over another. I have just been absorbing as much information as I can from this, and other, boards.

I am wide open to suggestions.

Now, if I could just sell my house so the funds would present themselves. (supposed to close tomorrow. . . today they tell us they can't get the financing! WTF)

Papa - There are a few threads where CMT recievers were mentioned. I built two ARs on their recievers and couldn't be happier.
