I found a rancher who will let me hunt his ranch for deer in ND. I will probable come out for one week during archer.

He told me to come up with a price for hunting his land.

Anyone have any ideas what the average payment for this would be?

I would be staying in his cabin and hunting his land.  there will probable be three or four of us that make the trip.

thanks

tom

Where is it at?  How many acres?  Is it a proven producer?

it is 750 acres in suthwest west nd.  He claims that only him and a few others have hunted there the last many years.  He has picts of large whitetails he shot.

Around this area no one charges to hunt deer. Pheasants maybe but the whitetails are so thick that local rancher/farmer owner operators simply want them thinned out. They eat off their silage pile, mess up their corn and are a general pest on the roadways during harvest season.
The going rate around here for a guided pheasant hunt is $500 for three days (that's basically all inclusive of everything but gun and boots). Others charge more but you get more perks, some charge less but you aren't in as fancy of a place and/or other perks are absent.
