ya they were no light weights. i about shit myself when the second coon jumped off the rafters about 2 feet in front of me and ran over my feet on the way out. i was expecting him to use my leg as a scratching post.

those were the first two ive seen alive let alone killed so i really have no idea how they stack up to the average racoon.

Those are pretty big coons, Biggest one I killed was about 2/3 the size.

Where did you find the coons??
I know NDOW used to forbid any of them being sold as pets out of fear of them entering the wild. That was around 20 years ago though........ |

yes ive been know to reside in the barn on occasion. lots of racoons around the river and the dairys. see lots of tracks when we are hunting. these fiesty devils were eating the cat food and getting a few chickens. i figured it was a skunk tell we finaily got them in the rafters. my best friend is also a trapper so we skinned them out and had them sent to be tanned. im gonna make mine into a hat and keep one foot for my keychain. davy crockett eat your fuckin heart out!
