Here is my steel target that we have shot alot of steel core into (ss109 & 308AP)

Notice the AP stuck in the plate still in the second pic

I brought it into work to grind the pot marks down and give it a fresh coat of paint.

The plate is one inch thick.

and the 308AP leaves quite a dimple to the back side of it. Maybe if I loaded it up in 300 win mag I could have blown through it. or I could have made the loads alittle hotter and shot it through my Ishapore. Will try to do this next time.

Wow, cool pictures. Too bad we can't shoot steel at the CE range.

For those who shoot STEEL, might want to read my PS on this thread, as the danger of setting fires in dry conditions is something one should be careful about....

Thanks MR.Wilson we'll be aware of it but here in Georgia it's getting customary to wear a snorkle around with you due to the large, say the least, amounts of rainfall we get around here now. But I bet the people in charge of guageing the amount of rainfall will tell you we are still in a draught condition.

Next I want to get a chunk of Aluminium and give it a go

If you want to try some aluminum, I can bring you some empty beer cans tomorrow.

Can I get money for empty bottle of rum?

Seriously, where do I collect money on the cans?

DUDE! you got to get some armor plate! You're gonna die luggin that hunk around!

We shoot gongs that are less than half that thickness and get no pocking with M855 or M193.

I know my Russian pigsticker will go through 1/2" steel. I wonder what it would do to 1" steel...
