Did you check with the DFW Gun Range? They seem to have classes every weekend.

Check with Targetmasters, also. On Jupiter,N. of Miller Rd.
They do the notary work, prints and pics,I left from my renewal class ,and went straight to the post office.

DO NOT use Texas Handgun Acadamy. I used them for a renewal and it was the worst experience I have ever had.

I'll second the recommendation.

Really? I liked them. They were a total bunch of rednecks... but it served the purpose just fine.

I took my class last weekend (4 hours).

There were only two of us in the class.

Down in/near Itasca though.

I/M me if you are interested.

I'd be interested as well in the problems you had.

I took my course there.

Another counter-recommendation for Handgun Academy. I took a renewal class a few months ago and it got the job done. Photo, fingerprints, the works, no problems.

Call QuailCreek, they are just north of TMS.

Try these folks as well. Family run business and flat-out good people. Classes are held at Bass Pro in Grapevine.

Texas Handgun Academy was OK as far as I was concerned. I kind of like it.

I'm doing an all day (8am-7pm) class in McKinney on Saturday December 6. The class is limited to 10 people...I have a few slots left. Cost is $100. The range qualification will be done another day the following week.
