I went to the Costa mesa Gunshow today and I was not impressed.
I will not be back either.

To say that there was alot of people would be
and understatement...
assholes and elbows and PUSHING your way thru the walkways.

I have a cali legal Under folder AK with a Raddlock,10rnd mag and permanently attached bayonet to extend the OAL over the cali legal 30inches for sale.

You free state guys try not to laugh to hard.
As your brothers and sisters behind the lines have to play the game.

I received various questions on the underfolder....
Example

Isn't that illegal ??.
Its an Assault Weapon....WHERES YOUR PAPERWORK
No..It not an AW.

Then go thru the speal of what it is
and why it is LEGAL and what it has to make it legal.

A few thugs offered 500 more if I would do Cash and Carry.
Can't do that here and I sure wouldn't do that with them if I could.

Alot of serious buyers with cash in hand that turned into Stuttering
idiots when I said...
Lets go talk to the FFL guy to do the transfer.

I still have it.
No one bought it.
But yet at a dealers table that was selling black rifles, they couldn't keep
them on the table ?
And they were high in price.
A Tantal for 900........
A Romy for 1100...

Oh well....I will be posting it FS on calguns later.

If  wolfeinstein-CA legal AK! - was there looking for an AK here.......

He would of gotten a bad case of sticker shock.

And they charge 5 bucks for parking now. I swear it was 10 or 12 dollars to get in at the last one too. It was stooopid! I ended up with a Glock cleaning mat and some bandolliers. YAY.....not!

I know everyone is hoarding but I went there for reloading supplies and even though I found the ONE booth that had them, they were sold out by the time I found them at 9.45!  Needless to say I was a little peeved that I spent $ for parking at $$ for entrance to walk away with nothing.

I live in Oceanside ans I swore off Del Mar years before I got into reloading and the only reason I go now is for supplies.  I would justify the trip to Costa Mesa because the parking was free and it was a bigger/nicer show.  I think I am now done with Costa Mesa and I will just go to Del Mar.

I am never sorry for a packed fun show here.  the more, the better.  I am however usually pretty PO'd at the insanely rude people who make them miserable.  and the people who think that doorways, the middle of aisles, and especially aisle intersections are the proper place to converse with their slow-witted friends.

most attendees are OK, but 10% are real PITAs.

You did good.  Half or even all of those were probably undercovers and not thugs.

Or, Plan B guys working off some charges.

Don't even entertain the concept or carry out discussions indicating possible acquiesence.

*Reliable* reports have some 'thugs' at gunshows going off field rotation, getting shaves/haircuts and suits, and back to their desk jobs in DOJ LE division (sometimes borrowed for gunshows since Firearms Bureau scaled back).

I was there at about 10:20am on Saturday.  First of all, the OP is right.  It costs $5 to park now.  I was kind of upset about that, but I figured "Hey, what the hell...where else can I go to shop for all of this gun-related stuff in one place?"  Then I saw the line to get in.  It was longer than...well, something that's really long.  There were thousands of people there.  The entry fee was increased to $13 or $14, so that $1 coupon that I brought for myself and my girlfriend didn't seem like that much of a coupon.  Once I got in...oh man.  It was like 4 buildings filled with herds of cattle.  Of course the CWS table had a HUGE crowd.  They had a lot of black rifles and AR uppers, but most of them were standard models.  During the last show I went to, CWS had at least a couple of custom uppers with LaRue and Daniel Defense FF rails with 16" and 18" SPR barrels.  Not this time though.  I ended buying a few hundred rounds of various pistol calibers to try out in some new guns I recently acquired, but that's it.  There were people stepping all over each other at the ammo and EBR tables.  I wish 75% of those people had forgotten to set their alarm clocks that day.  Oh well...I guess I can just be happy that the firearms industry is on fire right now.  It's one of the few industries that is actually thriving.  I dunno, I'm just trying to be positive...

Why not?????
It will be a legal PP transfer at a FFL so it will be
a FFL transfer.
So I don't follow with your reasoning.....

I really don't care to much for this rifle....
I already have the ones I want.
When I sell it. I will immediatly be using the cash and get something I want
especialy right now because they are in high demand
and come up less frequently for sale on the EE...

Today's OC Register said there were 400,000 people at the Costa Mesa gun show, and that it's the most attended gun show in the US.

WOW! I live less then a mile away but decided not to go. Nothing really needed so why spend the cash on an entrance fee. I went to the last one and it was REALLY crowded too.

IIRC, the CM gun show used to be twice a year, but the OC Register said it was annual which means once a year.

Crossroads of the West Gun Show will be in Costa Mesa 5 times in 2009 (similar to 2008). It's pretty much every other month, but because of the fair they lose a summer show. Similar schedule in Del Mar except Del Mar gets the alternate months.
