Not sure if this what you seek but, here's SGB's corn and sausage chowder recipe.





1 pound mild (or what ever you want - wife uses jimmy dean with sage)
sausage


1 large onion, chopped


3 large Potatoes, peeled & cubed (as a shortcut you can use frozen
hash browns)


2 tsp salt or to taste


1/2 tsp pepper


1 tsp dried basil


2 cups water


1 - 17 oz. can cream style corn


1 - 16 1/2 oz. can, whole kernel corn, drained


1 - 12 oz. can evaporated milk





Brown sausage and drain, add to soup kettle. Use 2 tbsp of the fat to
saute the onions. Add onions, potatoes, salt, pepper, basil and water to
the soup kettle.





Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Stir in corn and evaporated milk. Cover
and heat thoroughly.
