Yeah, if you buy them in 1 lb jugs!

hadn't check there in a couple of years, but they were real expensive last time I did check, kind of like they were adding a hazmat fee, S&H + tax to every jug they were selling.

I've bought 8 lb jugs at Gene Sears and it seemed like the price was about the same as what I paid at Sportsman's Warehouse. But that's been a couple of years ago.

last time I was in there I was quoted prices that were approx $30/jug higher than sportsman's for the same powder and primers were approx $7/k higher, course that was back when component prices were going crazy and sportsman's might have been a bit slow on raising prices.

I hadn't checked/been back since then, and since sportsman's crashed in the city it's damn hard to compare prices to see if they might have evened out.

Well, Brother L, you know I'm fairly frugal about buying gear.
Really, I'm a cheap ass.
But Gene Sears' prices always seem to be OK to me. I don't really remember him being out of line on stuff. I know when I go into buy reloading supplies I've spent as much as $600 buying bullets, primers, and powder.
We're really limited in choice of where to shop for reloading supplies in the OKC area!

yep, the net really put a damper on components sales in the metro, but back when I started buying off the net a person could save a few hundred bucks (sometimes more, anyone remember surplus aa2230c for $60/jug off the net and OA had it for $120/jug) on a bulk buy compared to buying local, made financial sence at the time but pretty well killed off most local supplies (like walmarts business plan).

I think I might have a lead on some local sale; if it don't pan out I'll need to save up a bit more funds for a bulk buy.
