Anyone in Louisiana interested in something similar? I've been looking for some private land to shoot on and people to go shooting with....

If you live in South Louisiana, I would ask around and try and find access to land that has some nutria. These varmints do alot of damage and most landowners wouldn't mind you shooting them.
If you buy a certain license, the state will pay you so much a nutria tail for you to shoot them. |

Actually, the last time I went out to my shooting spot, I saw some pretty big turkey tracks. I don't think that's the "varmints" you are looking for though. |

That's one bad thing about most of the South. We don't have prarie dogs, whistle pigs, etc. to shoot. At least S. La. has nutria. In Bama we have crows and a few animals that wonder in like coyotes.

Lower Alabama Delta is FULL of nutria.
