Sounds good. Let us know place and time.

I don't think I can hold out until next weekend.

I might be able to make it for a short stay...drill weekend for me...

You must be talkin' Native New Yorker on Gilbert Road.

That would work for a follow up to the RIO Salado match. See you there! (maybe)

I was just about to suggest Native New Yorker off Gilbert Rd and US60 but Markm beat me to it! They have a fairly large room there I'm sure we can reserve. And besides it's only 3 miles down the road from me!!

You plannin' on going, Ian?
Link Posted: 7/6/2003 12:58:06 PM EDT
That place works for me, I'm only 1.5 miles from there. But what time though, it would have to be sometime after 5:30 for me.

WW, you gonna be back in town?

... Yup J-man, I'm flyin' back into town tomorrow. Gotta fix some fucked up engineering on my project. I figure it will take a couple weeks to straighten the mess out, then it's back out to Manhattan until the job is done.

... I really miss home, but ironically the Native New Yorker sounds great. It's only a couple miles from me as well.

I should be. What time is good for everyone? Any time after 4:30 is good for me.

Yaa! See how you guys are!
I will never make one of these get togethers until you do it on a Friday night.
I go in to work at Midnight on Saturdays (for Sunday).
Whaaa F'N Whaaa...

How about something after the match at Rio. I hate to drive all the way to Mesa twice in one day.
Link Posted: 7/7/2003 4:50:24 PM EDT
What time does the Rio thing start/end?
Link Posted: 7/7/2003 6:48:35 PM EDT
the RIO match will probably be over by noon-1PM i'm guessing....they like to start early and get it over with before everyone melts...

So lets get a time down? Do you want to do it after the match (say 1:30 or so) or do most of you work until 5 so we need to do it around 5:30 / 6 pm)

Vote for you time if it's not listed above, write it in! I WANT WINGS!!!!!

... Poll bump

I've never been to a match, so I have no idea when it will end. If 62nd is right with 1:00ish end time, 2:00 would be realistic than noon. I would prefer the early afternoon over the evening. It leaves time for other evening events. Plus, at that time (7:00 on a Sat) it can get pretty full. We could end up waiting outside for a while. In the afternoon, we should be able to walk right in.
Link Posted: 7/10/2003 10:59:22 AM EDT
I don't see the match running until after noon.

Native New Yorker, eh??

That sounds like me.... can anyone give me directions on how to get there? Not sure if I can make it, but I'll try.

Is this a family friendly place suitable for a wife and 10 month old son in case we were able to swing by and say hi?

Take the 60 and exit on Gilbert rd. Go north on Gilbert about 1 block if that. There is a hotel on the East side of Gilbert that can be seen from the 60. Native New Yorker is the same culdesack. It is family oriented, but the tempo pics up a bit on the weekend.

Won't we be in the BAR area? It's easier to intermingle and such in there. Plus if we have any smokers they can light up.

If we do this in the dining area it will be a pain in the ass for the waitress if we move around to shoot the shit.

We have 8 total votes. This could be a huge gathering.

... I don't think it was ever expected to be a huge turnout. Lots of folks are on vacation and such.

... But I'm going down there for some wings & cool brew about 7pm. I'm only gonna be in town for a week and I need my BBQ wings fix! I'll be on the sports bar side. Hope you can show.

7pm it is. I'll be the guy at the bar with the AR
