... Thinking of organizing a day-ride to Tucson sometime between Christmas & New Years Eve.

... Any interest if it's a clear, sunny day?

Anyone know a a good place to get tires for a CBR F3??(160/60/17 120/70/17) MetroMotor Sports is just a little on the high side.(not a typo) Moved here in July of 04 and put on about 6500 miles so its time for new ruber.

Cyclegear has pretty good prices on tires.  There is a decent selection of tires in stock.  They also mount them for $10, but you have to remove the from the bike.  You can get road hazard warranty for 5% of the cost of the tires.

If you want to ride the bike in, then leave with new rubbers,  Logan's in Mesa did right by me. I called around for D208s. Not only were they one of the best prices, they also had them in stock. Other shops needed to order them (quotes varied 2-5 days), then schedule a install.

Cool, i'll try to call a fw of these places and see what they have for my F3 and the price as well. Does any one also like to go off road and plinking???? I have a 86 CJ-7 Renegade that my buddy back in NYC gave me before moving here...... Shoot me an email or post in here if any one wanted to hit the trails...

... Sure'd like to hook up with some of the local "bikers" here for this one. I'm going regardless.

... Kinda kicking around the idea of blowing down to Picacho Peak (equidistant for the Tucson folks) for lunch - any serious takers?

... I'm buying lunch for ARFCOMMERS that show.

Sorry, I have to work Monday thru Saturday.

I did purchase a new motor for my next bike.  I now have the frame, springer, tank, and motor.

This deserves a progress-thread of its own!

... Maybe Thursday??? Just yesterday I volunteered to work Tuesday & Wednesday (if I choose). I kinda decided to because my g/f is at her mom's in Italy, they're my projects the shop is working on and ~$200/hr. is nothing to sneeze at (salary folks have to get Director-level approval to get compensated on Holidays)

Well Winston get a solid day and we will be out there. As far as best place in Tucson to get tires. Southwest Mototire. They are hands down the cheapest. Pilot Poweres $247. The only thing is you have to take the tire/rim off your bike and take it down. For sport bikes thats way easy. They will take them off and mount and ballance. Service is the best I have ever had and they discount 3% for cash.
