Illegal Immigrants Plan to Sell Ranch Won in Lawsuit (CBS 5 NEWS) - Two illegal immigrants are now the legal owners of an Arizona ranch seized from its anti-immigrant activist owner. In 2003 the two men were confronted by Douglas rancher Casey Nethercott. He says they were on his property illegally and allegedly pistol whipped them. He got five years in prison for the incident on a felon in possession of a firearm charge. The Southern Poverty Law Center sued him on the immigrants' behalf and won his 70-acre ranch. The two men are currently applying for visas, but say they will sell the ranch. 01.26.06

I believe the original owner was incarcerated at the time for defending against the illegals. He transferred ownership to his sister, who had the screws put to her by the attorneys representing the illegals.
If anything, this is a tremendous hit to your property rights in general, especially when they can be handed over to foriegners through a tort.

In this particular case, what Casey did was not only criminal, it was downright STUPID.

If a man is caught breaking into your home and you catch him and he surrenders to you without a fight. Do you then have the right to pistol-whip him or do whatever you want with him? Of course not! Would he have cause to sue you if you did? Damn straight.

That's the way I see it. A fucking criminal lowlife scumbag was caught by a homeowner, but the homeowner went way overboard and used it as an excuse to beat the shit out of him.
