Anyone got any good loads for this ?
I want a powder/load for the 115 g lead bullet for gallery and a full power load for the 110 grain sierra fmj to get out to 200 yards with.
There,s not a lot of load info out there for the pistol powders unfortunatly.

Similar - but not the same!!

Vit N110 powder with a 110gr spire point bullet:
.30 Carbine, 18" barrel - starting 12.1 grains (1786fps), max 14.0 grains (1983fps) (Vit Data)
.300 Whisper, 10" barrel - starting 13.7 grains (1700fps), max 17.7 grains (2000fps) (Sierra Data)

110gr - 13.4gr  No9 = 2150 fps (18" )

(remember the rules on reloading , start low and build up, but this is the load i use for 300yds)

Yeah, sorry, what I really meant by that is for the low pressure stuff (8-900fps lead bullet) you'd probably be safe with the same loads.  I'm planning on trying 3grains of NobelSport GM3 in the Whipper with the 115gr Lead hardcast bullets, (GM3 is v. similar to Vhit N320) as a cheap gallery load  Another option is 7.2grains of N110. The higher end of the pressure spectrum its obviously going to make more difference.

Trouble with getting light loads for these is that a lot of the american data is all about getting a load which will cycle the action (or even make a power factor) but (unfortunately) we don't have that issue.

I'd wondered about GM3 in the Whisper as well. I used to use it in my 10mm with 180gr lead bullets, and figured it should be similar. If you try it, please report back! GM3 is nice & cheap as well!

baldie- for max performance try 123gr lapua head backed up with 12.3grns no9 = 1950 fps (18") This is very good at 200-300yds  (It will feed off a standard 223 mag )
Safe reloading .

We get it via Peter Lawman and for price I've not found anything cheaper, it's obviously not as consistent etc as some, but at about half the price of many others for my 25yrd loads it really doesn't make any disernable difference.  Only think I find "wrong" with it in that application is that it's a bit dirty, nothing as bad as a .22 tho.  I use 3.2 under any .357 (125,140,158 or 180gr) and 4.4 under a 240gr .44

Sierra 2105 FMJ + 13,3 grain N110 in Lake City 1944 cases, OAL 42,5 mm, gives approx 1750 fps in a 1944 Inland, which makes me think that the SP bullet is a bit longer ("pointier") than the FMJ i.e. there is a bit of air above the powder. Next test lot will be with 13,8 grains. Goal is to hit 1950 fps so the sights "fits". (We shoot at 200 meters).

Hi, I load a thousand rounds of this at a time because I have 4 M-1 Carbines that I've gotten from CMP over the years.
12 grains of Win 296 is my military dup.  Please understand this little cartridge has very little room for adjustment.  The only time I had a kaboom from too little powder was when I was trying to develop a sub-sonic load so Arms Tech could market an internal pest control round that would be silent from a supressed carbine.  It was 10 years ago so I can't remember the particular formula, but stay within the norms and you will be good.
I also used the Sierra 130 grain S P with some success, but I had to work the bolt by hand but it was amazingly accurate.

I recommend all the powders alteady given plus H110, and 296 (which may be the same powder)
