Take pics, load pics, TODAY, get $15, easy.

Anyone want to add $5 to the pot for a scouting report and road condision report, please post.

These funds are thanks to ME and Peta and Hartman!

I'll pitch in $5.   OR the volunteer can drink their weight in coffee and not pay me back, either way.

I'd really like to know how much snow is up there though.

Call the rangers.  They'll know if it's snowing there...

Estacada Ranger Station 595 NW Industrial Way Estacada, OR 97023 Tel. (503) 630-6861.

CRAP.  8-12 feet (or was that a typo?) My Subaru's good, but not that good...and my snow driving skills are, uh, way not good enough.  I may not be able to do this shoot if it's really that bad.

Unless me, the coffee and my guns & ammo can carpool w/someone,  otherwise I may pass off the coffee at Estacada ...

Thought so, even still 8-12 " is a bit high for my low-profile rig.  Guess I could give it a try w/the chains.

If you go fast enough you just blow the shit out of hte way. Its when the trucks get in there and hammer ruts down and pack the center....Then its time to just drive the truck.

I know that some of you guys are going to get up there earlier, so could one of you please call either No Aim or myself  when you do to update us on road conditions? We will be doing breakfast at 8:00 and probably pull out at around 9:00, so if anyone wants to go in a convoy, you can meet up with us. Also, some of the earlier trucks might knock down the snow pretty well for us.

I also seem to recall that a good portion of the road going up is covered by trees which will cut down on the snow.

The trees are NOT IN THE ROAD, he means the tops of the tree's cover the road from rain and snow.

I might be able to call my buddy who lives out that way.  No pics, but he can give an estimate of conditions.  No promises, he's pretty lazy (He said he wants to go to the shoot but he won't be out of bed until at least 10).

I would, but it would probably be $15 in gas just to do it, not to mention two hours of my time.
