Always a good topic. Whats your favorite Hamburger here in Washington. Yeah, I know Dicks makes a good one and there's lots of chain types like Red Robin, but whats your favorite "secret" spot for a good patty?
Road Trip wise, I like Mountain High Burgers off I-90 in Easton over the pass My FAVORITE PLACE IN THE WORLD? www.originaltommys.com |
We've got a few here in Camas/Washougal that are pretty good.
The first is Top Burger, which has great burgers, the best fries and yummy shakes. Next up would be Old Fashioned Maid, good eats too. And lastly would be Jett Burger who probably have the best burgers of the three, and many different types of burgers, but the setting is not as nice. Steve |

Pick Quick in Fife. Or, Mommity's kitchen, when she deems me worthy of nourishment!

Jacks in Renton has a pretty good burger. The Viking in Lake Stevens was real good but they closed it down and made some kinda chicken place out of it.
Dicks is good. I wish we had an In-and-Out Burger here in Washington.

Dick's Drive Inn is my favorite
King Charlies on Hwy 9 in Snohomish is another good one too. |

I grew up with Dick's being our neighborhood burger place and eat there still, but my favorite burger place in the state has got to be Miners in Yakima.
Damn... LTG beat me to it... Miner Burgers in Yakima... Damn they make the BEST...
Also Crazy Erics in Bremerton and Belfair has great & cheap burgers. Best damn home made fries. Expect grease in everything but the milkshakes. |
Ever since the Wooley Toad closed, I like Razzal's, up the street.
We're talking about the burgers not the 'candy'. |
Dicks is good
Burgermaster doesn't suck XXX in Issaquah has some pretty interesting & good combos (but no beer ) Ranch Drive In (Bothell) is good as well ...at home on the bbq, with some drinks and friends is hands down the best. |
I forgot about Ranch Drive In, they have some good shakes too |

My wife went to that place with my in-laws a couple of weeks back and she said it was really good. Thanks for the second on that and confirmation Ductapeman! |
I went to In-and-Out Burger when I was in CA last week. It was no big deal, unless you like a very simple menu. No onion rings? Bleh. |
Ooh ooh, I forgot about the Frisko Freeze. Ain't on my way to anything, but it's a good enough excuse to go there all by itself.
Grand Avenue Ale House in Bellingham makes a great Bacon Cheesburger...
Boomers on N Samish Way makes a damn good burger also! Also, Fatburger is pretty good for a chain, but none farther north than Lynnwood. |
Burgerville in Centralia.
Where can i sign a petition to bring In-N-Out to Washington? |
I also went to an In-and-Out while in San Jose this past weekend. Burgers were nothing special, and menu was extremely limited, to say the least. Had been anxious to give them a try, now I won't worry about ever going again. |

Who how did I forget Burgerville, I guess we just get spoiled with them all over down here.. Ummmmm, Tillamook Bacon Cheeseburger is sounding really good. |

Little Holland in Tacoma,
Center & Orchard. Order the "Mighty Mike" not the mickey burger! The Pick Quick is a +++ Years ago there was a "smitty burger" at the 24h st DQ (french roll & 2 patteys + stuff) but thats long gone. You gotta love a good cheese burger! |
Yep, the mikey burger, you can still get a smitty burger on east 38th st in Tacoma, and then theres Vans in tumwater/lacey... |
Walla Walla onion burgers at the Evergreen State Fair...
But Zekes just outside of Goldbar makes a pretty good burger, I hear that Aligator sole in everett makes burgers with all kinds of different meats.. |
Wally's in Buckley is pretty good. Especially their Marshmallow shakes.
Cubby's II in North Auburn used to be REALLY good. Then the owner wouldn't renew the lease so he could open a used car lot. Is Pick Quick in Fife that small burger joint on 99 just north of the puyallup river bridge? |
Any of the Kid Valley joints. Dick's has been the standby for me since '63 and for convenience they still are.
BURGER ROOKIES!! ok, In-n-Out is kinda personal for me so I will explain. For those who have never been They have a very limited menu, or so it seems. They in fact have a little known and rather extensive "secret menu" including but not limited the following, "the Flying Dutchman", "The Protien Burger", "Grilled Cheese", "Animal Style Burger" (my personal favorite), and "Animal style fries." Also you can order you burger with as many meat patties and slices of cheese as you want by simply say any number by any number (4x4= 4 meat+4 cheese, 2x4=2 meat+4cheese.) So the next time you're in ca, nv, or az or a Double Double animal style w/ Animal style fries, it's near orgasmic. |

Bllaaaahhh!!!! Sooooo funny! Most folks i know in CA always went on and on about how goood In-And_Out was, I do not eat red meat so i can't say, just funny how many people rave about a place that just sells plain burgers! Also it is funny to watch folks post about loving "Dick's", sounds a bit off ya know.... LOL |
Here is the stupidity of In & Out vs. Dicks. They are two COMPLETELY different burgers. Dicks is great, if you want a greasy spoon of a burger. Awesome if you've been drinking, need to shit, or just want the grease in your blood stream. They are damn good for what they are. In & Out prides themselves on being clean. While beaf and cheese = grease, the rest of the burger is very clean. The lettuce and tomato are cut through out the day so it's never frozen or sitting around. |
