 Pumping station lost power so to cover their asses they put out a boil order notice. Just goes to show you how fragile our utility infrastructure is, how ripe it is for sabotage and attack and how most folks are woefully under-prepared for any sort of emergency. Thank God I have plenty of bottled water and that my beer fridge is full.  |

Take this opportunity to bolster your gut commensal bacteria? It'll protect you from food borne illnesses down the road if it doesn't make you violently sick right now

Don't worry, I'll be fine. I have plenty of bottled water and ice cubes in the freezer to chill the water.
I am not however going to be making a piss still any time soon.  |

Where was this? Raymore was affected by the same pump outage but we were not instructed to boil.
