out of curiosity.... would it be illegal to setup a camp at one of those sites? ie: you and your son want to go camping one weekend kinda thing?

Well, the Sloss mines are on US Pipe land. They are in a BAAAAD section of town for camping. Low light urban combat training? Now that might be a possibility.
