Dallas is huge - any chance of narrowing down what part of town you're going to be in?

If she used to live there, why not let her lead the way and go where she wants to go and do what she wants to do?
There may be some places/things important to her that she'd like to see again.

I'm assuming you've never lived in Dallas, since you're asking this question?

Wake up in Frisco, dinner down south. Anything good in the metro area, say between Frisco, Mesquite and Fort Worth.

I am Tarzan, she is Jane- or neither of us would be married to the other. I lead, she follows. It works for us, we both enjoy it a lot!

I was being lazy and instead of hitting the internet and finding stuff I thought I'd ask, people come to the WAHTF all the time and always get pages and IM's of places to go and things to see. Thats why I asked it the way I asked it, expecting answers like, "My Wife loves it when I take her to......"
Are you in Austin by chance?

Perot Museum and then hang out at Klyde Warren Park.

Nieman's downtown or Northpark Mall.

Nasher sculpture gallery, Dallas Museum of Art, then whatever show is on at the theaters there.

Arts District in Dallas is pretty cool. Nasher Sculpture Center is good for couples as it is a little less stuffy than the DMA. The Margaret Crow Collection of Asian Art is also cool & free. Also downtown for dinner...Landry's is one of my favorite seafood places.

Riskey's BBQ. All you can eat beef ribs for $9.99. Sometimes I like eating where the napkins are a rill of paper towels on the table.
There are shops in the Stockyards that my wife and daughters like.

If she is a Dallas native and has not been to Dallas in a long time, take her to Northpark to see the new addition. That new area still boggles my mind and everyone else who grew up here. Easy to kill an hour in there just walking around in the hallway.

Perot Museum is sorta gay with all the kids and crap around. Too many people.

$30 a person gets you into Fair Park and you can ride the Texas Star as many times as you want for that one price. Not all the rides are open, not sure if they sell corn dogs either.

You could always take a brewery tour, that's new to Dallas.

The cattle drives are daily at 11:30a and 4:00p -  Ft. Worth Stockyards

They don't last long, but it gives you an idea of what the cattle drives are like. - get there a little early for a good spot.
There is actually a lot to do down there without spending much, if anything.

The Cowtown Coliseum,  where the rodeos are held, is kind of neat to look around, sometimes there are some cowboys practicing roping, etc.
They have a couple of cannons out front that were dug up out of the San Antonio river.

There are usually a couple of Longhorns saddled up that you can get your photo taken on.

If it was me, I would plan on going early and having lunch there.
As mentioned, Riscky's is pretty good BBQ.

Only bad thing is no more Dublin Dr. Pepper at the General Store.
